Since there weren't really any good flight options from Hanoi to Japan we decided to make a 4-day detour through Seoul in South Korea. Seoul turned out to be a very nice city and we feel that we will go back there someday. The city was a big, modern city mixed with old heritage villages and buildings. The atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying the spring.
Gyeongbokgung Palace - the oldest palace in Seoul
Bukchon Hanok Village - here we saw traditional Korean houses
Chandeokgung Palace - the best preserved palace in Seoul
And finally, some amazing korean food! Gimbap (Korean sushi), Bibimbap and udon-noodle soup with seafood.
